Name badges
Objective
Every year, Kois Center holds a symposium event for graduates. Every attendee gets a name badge, and they need to be categorized by graduates, assisting roles like clinical instructors, and staff members. The CEO also wanted details like the residence, occupation, and preferred name listed, and the company’s image and text logos needed to be included.
Process
Hierarchy and contrast were a major focus with the name badges. The black background allows the white text and gold details to pop out, and the most important feature, the first name/nickname, got the largest, thickest font. To categorize each type of person, three different color banners with the specific titles sits at the bottom of the badge. The center-aligned text and graphics make the name badge feel stable and grounded, and the gold line separating the occupation(s) from the rest of the information works to make it as a footnote.
