Diagram an Object

Type

Illustration, Layout Design

Brand

None

Deliverables

11" by 17" inked illustration on black matte board

Objective

The project needed to be a diagram of an object or person of my choosing. It required using only writing ink to construct it, and it needed labels. Mainly, its purpose was to inform about the inner pieces of an object or human, whether the pieces were realistic or abstract.

Process

I made multiple sketches to figure out the layout for the drawing. When I decided on the final version, I put it on tracing paper, and then I traced over it with the final paper. High constrast brings out various sections, and the complicated detail draws the eye inward to get a look at the overall image.
